about Hope

At Hope Lutheran Church, you will feel surrounded by friends looking to hold one another up through fellowship and faith. Our church is in Freehold, New Jersey, near Howell and Jackson, and we join together under a common roof anchored in Christ, growing in faith, love, and service. Lutheran church culture is firmly rooted in ministering to our members, community, and global level. Our prayer for every gathering is that you would feel welcomed and loved. We want you to leave our church inspired and renewed by God's infinite love for us. Nevertheless, we welcome anyone to come and join us for worship on Sundays!

We understand that everyone has different styles and approaches to worship. That is why we offer two various worship services. One traditional service with traditional liturgy accompanied by organ, and the other is a contemporary service with a worship band. If it's your first time visiting, check out both services and see what feels suitable for you and your family. We stream both services if worshiping from home is the best way for you to worship with us!

Sunday School Annual

Egg Hunt

Hop on over to Hope Lutheran Church for our Annual Egg Hunt on Sunday, March 29 at 10:00 AM! Kids and families are invited to enjoy a fun morning filled with egg hunting, prizes, snacks, and crafts. There will be no regularly scheduled Sunday School that day—everyone should meet in the narthex instead.

We’re also collecting items for our Blessing Bags, so if you’re able, please bring deodorant or body wipes, combs or brushes, toothpaste and toothbrushes, protein or breakfast bars, and disposable razors or shave gel/cream to help bless others in our community. We can’t wait to celebrate together!

Sandwich Making

March 2026

Join us on Monday, March 17 at 6:00 PM as we gather to make sandwiches for St. Peter’s Community Lunch in Freehold. This is one of Hope’s favorite service projects and a wonderful opportunity for all ages to come together and help care for our neighbors.

Whether you can stay for the whole time or just stop by to lend a hand, your help makes a real difference. All are welcome!

Hope Family Movie Night

Prince of Egypt

Bring the whole family for a relaxed evening of popcorn and a movie at Hope Lutheran Church! We’ll be watching The Prince of Egypt, the animated story of Moses leading the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt and the origins of Passover. This powerful story connects beautifully to the season of Lent, as Jesus celebrated the Passover meal with His disciples at the Last Supper when He gave us the gift of Holy Communion.

Join us for a fun night together on

Saturday, March 28 at 6:00 PM.
