HOPE ANCHORS
YOUTH Program
Our Hope Anchors Youth Group is designed for our middle schoolers and provides a fun, safe, creative, faith driven program for our youth to grow in their christianity with their classmates and friends. We gather to play games, enjoy music and meals, hang out and participate in special events and trips.
The New Jersey Synod seeks to be a church that loves young people with the love of Jesus and walk with them as they grow in faith and lead lives of Christian servanthood. We do this first and foremost in our congregations. We also do this through synodical youth events and training opportunities, and by helping connect them with the wider church and God-in-the-world!

I will remember the covenant I made with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you
Ezekiel 16:60
God uses us at all ages. Though some do not come to know him until later in life, there are others who feel the burning desire to know Him from adolescence. The Bible is filled with young, faithful believers who stepped out, despite their age, into a grand adventure with God. The Lord used them, not because of their age, but because of their hearts. To know Him from an early age is to spend your life walking with him, learning from Him, and getting to know Him. A relationship like that will never get old.
Once God grabs ahold of you, He doesn’t let go. He is the same God in our early years as our late. He doesn’t forget you or forsake you and his love never grows old.
At every age, believers can inspire others. How impactful a young Christian could be to others, during a stage in their lives when the pressure is so great to conform. At a time in life when it seems the most important thing is fitting in, there is bravery in deciding to standout by setting an example of what a relationship with Jesus looks like.
We will all grow old one day, should we be lucky enough to do so. There may come a time when we cannot do or go as we once did. This is why a solid foundation of faith, and trust in God, is so important. Should we build it while we’re young, it will remain standing into our older years, and we will still then take great pleasure in days spent with the Lord.
