about Hope

At Hope Lutheran Church, you will feel surrounded by friends looking to hold one another up through fellowship and faith. Our church is in Freehold, New Jersey, near Howell and Jackson, and we join together under a common roof anchored in Christ, growing in faith, love, and service. Lutheran church culture is firmly rooted in ministering to our members, community, and global level. Our prayer for every gathering is that you would feel welcomed and loved. We want you to leave our church inspired and renewed by God's infinite love for us. Nevertheless, we welcome anyone to come and join us for worship on Sundays!

We understand that everyone has different styles and approaches to worship. That is why we offer two various worship services. One traditional service with traditional liturgy accompanied by organ, and the other is a contemporary service with a worship band. If it's your first time visiting, check out both services and see what feels suitable for you and your family. We stream both services if worshiping from home is the best way for you to worship with us!

Daily Devotions

with Pastor Ed

Join Pastor Ed for his daily devotions, where his goal is to help every listener grow spiritually. He helps us remember the essential truths of what being followers of Jesus is all about while taking deeper dives into the week's scriptures.

It's a designated opportunity for everyone to take a step back in their lives and reset their minds. This dedication of time set aside for personal reflection becomes habit-forming and can help lift your daily spirits!

Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP)

We still need some help with EHAP - the season began on Friday, December 3, 2021.  We were lucky enough to be able to utilize the services of a taxi company with a large van in the past to transport the men both to and from Hope, however, that luxury is no longer available for us to take advantage. So in addition to needing meal providers and overnight hosts, we will also need drivers, possibly 2 per way - to pick up from Saint Peter's and bring back to Hope at 630pm on Friday night and then back to Saint Peter's from Hope at 645/7am Saturday morning.  We will NOT be hosting on Christmas Eve or New Years' Eve although those both do fall on Friday nights - other accommodations have been made for the men.

We now offer convenient ways to continue to give online!
